Your Baby's First Year can bring you fatigue, stress, anticipation, and joy. These are all normal emotions you bounce through during your infant's first year of life. Although it is a wondrous time, it is also a time of uncertainty and anxiety. There is the onslaught from the relatives, the frenzy of setting up the baby's room, buying diapers, getting bedding and clothing, establishing feeding and sleeping schedules, finding time for yourself, and so much more to worry about.
Baby's nails get sharp, and they scratch themselves. Our baby scratched his eye, his face you name it. The answer of course is some anti scratch gloves but long term you need to cut their nails. Obviously you wait for them to harden after birth (took a week or so in our case) and then you trim them. There are many stories of people using scissors or clippers and nipping their baby's fingers. The simplest solution is to wait until the child is asleep and his/her fingers are floppy and then carefully use your teeth to bite his/her nails. Your mouth is very sensitive so you'll work out what is nail quite easily. It sounds scary but it really is not that bad.
